Company
CILA since 1928
Nearly a century of expertise in industrial oil collection and regeneration. A strong footprint in the Hauts-de-France region.
Our history
Almost a century serving industry
Founded in 1928 in Aulnoye-Aymeries (Nord), CILA is one of France's oldest companies specialising in the collection and treatment of industrial waste oils.
Since its creation, CILA has evolved alongside environmental regulations, treatment technologies and industrial needs, becoming a leading player in the circular economy applied to lubricants.
Our Aulnoye-Aymeries site is an ICPE-certified facility (Installation Classée pour la Protection de l'Environnement) — a certification that guarantees the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance.

Our mission
Giving waste oils a second life while managing their environmental impact
For nearly a century, CILA has been supporting industrial operators in the collection, treatment, regeneration and recovery of their waste oils.
Our mission is straightforward: transform an industrial waste into a useful resource, while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and the protection of the natural environment.
In a context where the circular economy is becoming a major challenge for businesses and regions, our expertise takes on its full meaning: enabling professionals to continue their activities by entrusting their waste oils to a specialist operator capable of handling collection, analysis, treatment and recovery in controlled conditions.
Every oil collected represents a technical, regulatory and environmental challenge. That is why CILA places rigour, traceability and responsibility at the heart of its business.
Our business
The collection, regeneration and recovery of waste oils
CILA's business consists of taking in used industrial and vegetable oils in order to give them a new purpose.
These materials, generated by human and industrial activities, require specialised management. Due to their composition, they cannot be abandoned, mixed or treated without control. They must be collected, analysed, directed and processed in appropriate facilities.
At its industrial site, CILA operates processes for recovering, treating and regenerating waste oils — particularly clear industrial oils. Once recovered, these oils can find a new use and enter a circular economy logic.
Our business relies on several essential steps: identifying the waste, verifying its acceptability, collecting, controlling, treating, regenerating and tracking the fate of the material.
Handling waste oils at an industrial scale implies a significant responsibility towards our clients, employees, partners, local residents and the environment. This responsibility guides every step of our activity.
Our model
A specialised industrial facility at the service of the circular economy
CILA's model is built on complete mastery of the waste oil value chain: collection, analysis, treatment, regeneration, formulation and recovery.
Our strength lies in the combination of our long-standing expertise, our production lines, our integrated laboratory and our ability to offer solutions tailored to industrial needs.
By prioritising material regeneration wherever possible, CILA helps its clients reduce their reliance on virgin resources, limit the environmental impact of their waste and adopt a responsible approach.
Our approach combines industrial performance, quality control, regulatory compliance and innovation — ensuring our clients a reliable, traceable solution focused on recovery.
With an ICPE-classified site and an activity dedicated to waste oils, CILA is committed to specialisation: understanding the material better, treating it better and recovering it better.
Our commitments
Safety, traceability, compliance and material recovery
Since its founding, CILA has operated with a firm conviction: waste oil should not be seen simply as a waste, but as a material to be controlled, treated and, wherever possible, recovered.
Our activity is guided by four fundamental commitments.
Safety of people and facilities
The safety of our employees, clients, partners and immediate environment is a priority. Every step of waste oil handling must be carried out under controlled conditions, with procedures adapted to industrial and environmental risks.
Regulatory compliance
Waste oils must be managed according to strict rules. CILA ensures compliance with all applicable requirements, from waste acceptance to final treatment. Our status as a classified installation reflects this commitment to rigour and responsibility.
Flow traceability
Every material handled must be identifiable, trackable and directed to the appropriate stream. Traceability gives our clients a clear picture of what happens to their waste oils and helps protect their own environmental liability.
Recovery over disposal
Where the characteristics of the material allow, CILA favours regeneration and material recovery. This approach transforms waste oils into a reusable resource and makes a direct contribution to the circular economy.
Our values
Responsibility, rigour, innovation and environmental commitment
CILA was built on a lasting conviction: industry can and must play a role in preserving resources.
Environmental protection is part of our history and gives meaning to our daily work. Every employee contributes, in their own way, to transforming waste oils into recovered materials, in compliance with technical, human and regulatory requirements.
Our culture is rooted in a sense of responsibility. Working with waste materials from industry demands method, vigilance and great rigour — qualities that are essential to ensure safety, treatment quality and client confidence.
We also believe in innovation. Since its founding, CILA has developed and improved its processes to meet the industrial and environmental challenges of its time. The pursuit of more effective, more responsible and more sustainable solutions is part of our DNA.
Ultimately, our strength rests on the women and men who make up the company. Their expertise, field experience, commitment and team spirit allow CILA to continue growing while staying true to its purpose: giving waste oils a second life.
